They were supposed to be going to bed…too cute not to sneak a peek at them playing before turning the lights out.282-365-0317-8856

Little man really concentrates on his cutting.283-365-0318-8863

Sold the first bunch of steers today. After watching all the men around him, Jake had to get in on the note-taking, too. My notebook is now filled with sale barn layouts. He even went so far as to design one that had a processing facility built right on to it…”so you don’t have to wait for your steak.”284-365-0319-8879

Spent the day helping out the local FFA program as they hosted 503 students from 22 schools at their annual CDE. It really took me back to my high school FFA days. It made me feel old, too. This is one of the students welding in the ag mechanics contest.285-365-0320-8964

I’m a softy and let Jimmy pick out something special when we made a quick trip to the “big town” to pick up our Ranger from the repair shop today – time for calving and it’s instrumental! He shoveled a bit of snow this winter. Yes, it was his chore but he did it [mostly] without being asked and with little complaint. 287-365-0322-9069
