My 365 | Week 51

6.15.14 – 6.21.14

We took advantage of the beautiful weather on Father’s Day. We had three different bunches of cattle that needed to be moved so I spent most of the afternoon with this view. Perfect day!6-365-0615-3173

Our old dog, Missy, is sporting the cone of shame after having a tumor removed from her mammary gland. She’s 14, but has a lot of spunk left. I was a little concerned about her recovery but just a week after surgery, she is back to keeping up with the pup.

Several of Miller’s churches joined together for the annual vacation bible school this past week. It was Jake’s first year getting to attend all week without me tagging along with him. He loved it! That’s him in the middle with the big smile.

Spent a gorgeous Friday night helping my daughter practice for the county 4-H horse show. I love to see these two smiling together.11-365-0620-3635

We watched the thunderheads build most of the afternoon. We were out in the pasture finishing up on A.I.ing a handful of cows as the storm clouds arrived. I thought we were going to get wet but we made it back home before the rain began. For the photo below, I was standing in my house yard looking to the tree belt to our north. We were blessed to miss any hail or damaging winds that forecasters warned of and our crops were happy to see the rain.12-365-0621-3675
