There’s nothing light an amazing aurora borealis to remind you of how small you are in the world.
I stuck my head out of front door about 11 p.m. last night to see if the magnetic storm predictions had turned in to anything. Even though the remainder of the sunset was still on the horizon (as you can see in the first photo), I could just see the Northern Lights to the east. I knew it was going to be a good show.
I am facing directly south to catch the Milky Way as it rose over our gravel road. The aurora was so active that you can see it .
