I started a photography class detailing compositional elements of design this week. For the next few weeks, some of my daily shooting will coincide with the topics we’re discussing and thus will be off the beaten path a bit. 156-365-1111-3597

We trailed the herd we had “out west”- 18 miles from the main place – home. Time to get these ladies closer to home and feed before winter hits.158-365-1113-3630

We’ve been blessed with beautiful fall weather the past few weeks.159-365-1114-3694

Vironica is next in the circle this week. She has this fabulous orange wall in her house. I love the bright pop it brings to her photos.

  1. I didn’t get a chance to check out your work this week in the workshop so it was so great to see some images here. I absolutely love the one of the cattle drive. I see triangles and subject positioning now that we are in week #2! I also love how the lines migrate from dark to light in your image of the corrugated wall. I find it very effective in grounding the image.

  2. I love all these lines Jaimi! I see what you mean about the bath. I’m sure I’ll be dealing with that very soon! I always love your ranching pictures and your wide open landscape.

  3. Jaimi, I love seeing your images in class and complied all together here. So many beautiful images! I love the heard and birds in flight images.

  4. I had to chuckle at your image of your tub! I love your cattle herding image and the lines in the tower is spectacular!

  5. Jaimi, I think I’m a cowgirl at heart. No, I really am. There’s something about the way you capture your surroundings each week that I’m completely drawn too…everything except for that tub 😉 Great week and I’m excited to see what kind of off the beaten path stuff you’ll have for next week!!
