What a difference a day makes. Nearly 30° above today so the pup enjoyed some outside time with us.213-365-0107-6515

As I drove home from work Friday, I could see this burning from miles away. I knew as soon as I saw the smoke it had to be the abandoned house the neighbors have been preparing to burn. A shot I took of the place a little over a year ago is one of my favorites. [You can see that post HERE.] The house was in real bad shape, so it needed to be torn down but it’s still sad to see a piece of local landscape and history gone.

I came out the door to the sound of unintelligible chatter. Both boys were “speaking” it but not really to one another. I finally asked what they were doing, “We’re auctioneering the cows, mom.”217-365-0111-6557

  1. Way to rock the Lensbaby – that shot of your pup is so cute! And your boys crack me up. That image of the burning is so poignant…I can feel your heart in it 🙁

  2. Oh my gosh! Your story of the boys “auctioneering” the cows made me laugh! I always like checking in on what you guys have been up to. That image of your pup outside is amazing as is the one of the burning house! Hope you are well!
