The first of the alfalfa was laid down today. If I could bottle this smell…. There is nothing like it in the world.

My favorite niece! Stole away for a quick visit. She was mid-way through her peas – working on filling out those cheeks more!

Several of my favorite people in one of my favorite places, my grandma’s kitchen. Many, many memories around this table in the house her grandparents built. This particular morning, was filled with stories. My sister had the wonderful idea of writing down grandma’s memories of her childhood as well as stories of her parents and grandparents.

How beautiful Jamie! We are so blessed to wake up to God’s beautiful world every day. And the smells that go with it are indeed worthy bottling for the most expensive labels! Even the smell of horse sweat on a busy cattle moving day, but especially the smell of fresh cut alfalfa or rain on a hot dusty road! God Bless your day, and thank you for sharing!
Thanks Cheryl! It’s hard to describe those smells – love horse sweat 🙂 – but they are some of the best things in life!
