Yay for the pool!
When it’s 100 degrees, there’s no place better than the city pool. I’m so happy our little town sees the value in the upkeep of a pool that is used 3 months out of the year.
I wanted to get the kids in to acclimate them to the pool before beginning 2 weeks of swimming lessons next week. I was most concerned with Jimmy as I had to coax him down the slide at the end of the season last year. NO problem this year.
After watching the big kids a couple of times, Jake was game to try…until we got to the top. I grabbed him, put him on my lap, and off we went. He cried and screamed bloody murder while wildly grabbing at the sides to stop us all the way down. As soon as we splashed in to the bottom, “Let’s do that A-G-A-I-N!!!!!!!!!” And so we did for the next hour and a half.
