My 365 | Week 14
9.29.13 – 10.5.13
Now, this, folks is A LOT of gravy. And its just one of many pots I helped make for St. Liborius Catholic Church’s annual bazaar. We made 8 gallons of gravy – enough to feed 600 – by scratch.
I know the first day of autumn was a few weeks ago, but to me, October is fall. The leaves are just beginning to turn here.
Last Saturday was the first time Bountiful Baskets was available in our area. I finally was able to make a meal from all the wonderful food. So yummy! Here’s a link to the recipe.
Jake enjoys uninterrupted playtime while big brother and sister are at school.
Friday was a wet, cold, miserable night to play football. However, we are blessed to have had the rain and not the 20 – 40 inches of snow that the western part of the state received OR the tornadoes the eastern part of the state got.
My favorite part of this weekly post is seeing what everyone else has been doing this past week! Continue through the circle by clicking over to Melissa’s blog.
Your food shots are terrific…mmm, I want to try that pasta! The landscapes are beautiful, especially the last photo (divine!). A beautiful week with a wonderful mix – food, family, landscapes and football 🙂 Love it!
Wow, that is a lot of gravy!! I love looking at your photos each week. The leaves and the barbed wire fence really grabbed my attention.
Another stunning landscape from your part of the world! So glad you didn’t get hit with the extreme weather too. Geez that pasta looks so tasty!
