My 365 | Week 18
10.27.13 – 11.02.13
Spent part of my day as a driver for the family hunters. While waiting for them to roust up pheasants from a tree belt surrounding an abandoned farm place. I thought the old porch door was beautiful.
And this is what we woke up to the next morning! The kids were super excited. They got ready for school quick and played in the snow a bit before the bus came. We carved pumpkins with no time to spare – just a few days before Halloween. Jake didn’t like to get the pumpkin guts on his hands so we all pitched in to help him.Beautiful ugly – this ditch is full of (normally stinky) water year round. On the rare occasion we don’t have a gale force wind, you lose the ugliness of the water and get the beauty of reflection. Happy Halloween! We had Spiderman, a Big Foot, and a Vampire Queen. And check out those fantastic carved pumpkins!!
I was so proud to overhear Jimmy reading this morning. Reading is not generally his favorite activity. This momma’s heart swelled when I came around the corner to find this. Plan “A” was to get family pictures for the card done but we lost our light. Instead, we had the makings of a fabulous sunset so I got a quick silhouette of the family with my mom’s help behind the camera.
Next up in the circle is Felicia.
Wow! The silhouette is beautiful!!! I love it 🙂 And, “beautiful ugly” works for me! I love those types of photos!
Okay, I love your week but that last image is just stunning!!! Great job Jaimi!
Love your week Jaimi! That family silhouette is gorgeous!
I really enjoyed seeing your shot of the school bus in the snow and dark. Feels like mornings up here in Calgary these days.
