My 365 | Week 22
11.24.13 – 11.30.13
I purchased this jewelry organizer last year as a stocking stuffer for myself. It fits a ton of jewelry. I have it loaded with earrings, necklaces and bracelets. Nothing gets tangled up and they’re all in front of my face so I don’t fall into the trap of wearing the same favorites over and over. Plus, I love the charm of the little birdies that hold my necklaces on. (Pssst…if you want one, here’s the link: Umbra Jewelry Tree.) Merry Christmas!
Little man apparently decided his favorite horsey and blankie needed a window view for the day.
One last picture with me before Jake left for the week. It was his turn to travel to his cousins’ house with Grandpa and Grandma Lammers. Each of the kids has had their turn traveling “just them” with G&G. I hope they realize how fortunate they are to get to do that. I remember taking trips like that with my grandparents. I treasure those times so much now. It’s amazing how quiet it was without him here for five days. I was so happy to see him home last night and didn’t complain one bit when he wandered into our bed at 2 a.m. to snuggle up.
We have a small group of cows in the pen just north of our house. These ladies have gotten used to the hub-bub that is our house yard. I plopped down with my camera next to the kids’ sandbox just on the other side of the fence and they came to check me out.
A fun stop at the park to reward great behavior Black Friday shopping ended terribly right after this shot. You see, mom didn’t move out of the way fast enough and Tricia thought I would. She now has a cut and a wee bit of a shiner from face planting into my lens.
Chris the Elf on the Shelf has returned!! I really had my doubts he would show up. I spent nearly a week searching for that really good hiding spot I put him in last year. In desperation, I pleaded for my husband’s help to find him the night before the little elf was supposed to arrive. What do you know, 30 seconds later I had the elf in hand. I love that man! Jimmy, left, really shined up to be a Little Miss Snowflake escort at our town’s annual Snow Queen Festival. The pageant is for freshman and senior high school girls but I am so glad they include the little kids in the program. I was so proud of all the first graders – they behaved so well and their performance of “Here Comes Susie Snowflake” was wonderful. I covered the evening for the newspaper and have a lot more pictures from the evening HERE.
That’s it for this week. Please follow the circle around to Jodie’s blog.
I love your week! It makes me want to visit to SD 🙂 The selfie with your little boy is fantastic…so nice to see you in front on the camera.
What a fun week! You always seem to do so much outside of house and home and I love seeing all the happenings each week! Hope T is doing better with her shiner – amazing shot though 🙂
How sweet are your images this week! I love that your little one got to spend time with the grandparents, just him. You are right, that is so special.
