My 365 | Week 32
2.2.14 – 2.8.14
Happy 7th birthday Jimmy!!!! We celebrated his actual birth day with a special dinner before heading off to a Superbowl party. He requested my grandma’s brownies for the cake and decorated it himself with farm machinery; topping it off with candles specially placed for the combine.
Playing with slow shutter speeds while watching Tricia’s drum practice.
I majored in journalism and work at a newspaper, so I guess it’s not surprising that I’m a bit of a type geek. This is an old type tray we keep around the office from days gone by when we printed the paper in house. Before digital pagination, each letter was hand set in trays such as this before being placed in the press and turned into newspaper pages. I love technology! I can’t imagine putting the paper together like this now!!
Jake couldn’t wait to dig in to his Valentine’s at preschool.
The boys had to make a pit stop on the way to Sioux Falls. I caught them dreaming looking at the deer display in Cabelas. Quick snap with the cousins. Sydney wasn’t into it.
We finally got to have Jimmy’s “friends” party at the end of the week. He really wanted to go sledding. We didn’t have much snow, so daddy made do by pulling the boys (safely) behind our UTV. I tried panning – a photography technique – and got this fun shot of a few of the boys. They really weren’t going as fast as this makes it look!
