My 365 | Week 31
1.26.14 – 2.1.14
The only good thing that comes to mind when I look back on last week, is, “Thank God it’s over!” I came down with full blown Influenza A Monday and it knocked my out until Thursday. That’s when my dear middle child decided to scare me by falling unconscious on the playground at school. He’s OK now but we’re still checking into what and why it happened. Yes, my problems could be much worse, but it was still a crappy week.
Jake got a lot of daddy time. I’d have loved to heard this conversation.
By the end of the week, I found all sorts of goodies Jake had brought to my bed to play while I tried to rest.
Words can’t express how scary it is to live 25 miles from school when they call to say your child is unconscious. Next to it NOT happening, the best thing to happen was that my mother-in-law was in town (and it’s a small town so the school knew she was in town) so she got there almost immediately and was able to ride with him in the ambulance and be with him until we got there.
He requested a picture to remember the neck brace and ER experience. This was taken while waiting for the results of an X-ray and final OK to remove the brace.
To celebrate the 100th day of school, Miller Elementary hosted a Lego Exhibition. The kids have been looking forward to this since Christmas.
Jim enjoyed helping make the treats for his birthday snack at school. He shook the sack of puppy chow real good!

Wow Jaimi! What an eventful week. I am glad you are feeling better and what a blessing to have your mom close by the school until you could get there. I hope you guys figure out what happened with your son. So scary!

Oh my goodness, you had a full week! I’m glad to hear your little guy is okay, though! I love all the detail shots… toys in bed… familiar scene in my house, too.
